Cat 7
Recently I have priced a few jobs with Cat 6A but no Cat 7 for well over 2 years. Has anyone installed Cat 7 and is it worth the cost.I'm not too sure if Cat 6A is worth the extra money. Most times when a client gets the quote I am usually instructed to go back to Cat 6 because no one can justify the extra cost. Especially when you consider what size files that people generally move around. I guess you may need it in movie / advertising companies and architectual organisations.
Higher=Better
I get where ur coming from I rekon that if the extra 500Mhz is necessary for transmission then ur probably better off going wit the cat 7 in spite of all the bad hype it gets. Sure the cat 6 cabling carries out the PSELFEXT test etc but your installers are still stuck interpreting and understanding them. My philosophy is the higher the better!
