Technical talk for plumbers in Busselton

Licensed plumbers in the state’s South West will have the chance to be brought up to date with the latest advances in their trade at a forum in Busselton at the end of the month.

The Plumbers Licensing Board will conduct the seminar on September 30th to provide technical advice and share information on the latest developments in the plumbing industry.

An invitation has been sent out to the 250 licensed plumbers living in the region to attend the meeting.

Issues to be addressed will include the board’s role in the new Building Commission, the work of the Plumbing Industry Reference Group and discussion on plumbing work standards, compliance issues and technical publications.

The forum will be held at the Abbey Beach Resort, 595 Bussell Highway in Busselton.  The event will run from 6.30-8.30pm.

The board’s visit to the region will also include holding its regular monthly meeting in Busselton and inspecting plumbing work in local capital works projects.

The board will round out its technical night forums for 2009 with a seminar in the Perth north metropolitan area later in the year.
